Customers that receive a parcel going by Landmark global usually get a COD request.
I don't like how it is announced to the customer and I don't like the lack of complete detailed invoice/receipt.
It is strange, wouldn't be allow in UK but seems to be in Canada. As far as I know this only happens in Canada.
Too me is seems confusing to the customer.
It is any customs fee with a small handling fee (by the courier). We send the parcel and don't charge any UK taxes. The value is declared for customs. Landmark processes it for customs. Usually things are delivered by the Canadian post (but not always). It shows as a cash on delivery fee with staff from the Canadian Post clueless to the reason why. It seems the Canadian Post have no method to attach notes to their systems. Worst landmark global don't produce a receipt (from what customer have told me). However if you work out how much tax/duty should be paid you will see that it roughly equates to the COD amount.
